Draft Evaluations:

Below are my draft evaluations, they are all in a Word document but I will upload them all in different formats when the final evaluations are due in, I didn't use different formats for the drafts because I will still need to change elements when I am doing my final evaluation questions. Also I haven't evaluated anything using survey analysis and that's because I still want more responses so in the final evaluations, there will also be a survey analysis.

Spotted A Mistake?

From 2:18 to 2:22 on the draft music video, we have noticed that it doesn't really make sense on how The Hunter ended up right behind the man walking. Noticing it early means that we are able to re-shoot that scene in advance and edit into the music video. What we are going to do is, re- do the high angle shot at 2:18 and we are going to make The Hunter come around the corner so that when watching the final music video, it makes more sense to the audience how The Hunter ended up behind the man.

Filming Stage

We have completed half of the music video and edited it properly, we still have the performance side of the music video to do in the studio that we will use when all members of filming are available. On the draft version of the music video, there are shots of the performance scenes on the storyboard and we have used them in the draft music video so that you have an idea of what the final version will looks like, but it also shows that we know exactly what shots we will use in those scenes. So far the narrative scenes look really good and the visuals really match the tone of our song choice for the video.

Reviewing Draft Digipak and Magazine Adverts Feedback

These are the comments made by my teacher in regards to my Draft Digipak and Magazine Adverts.  The majority of the targets simply require a few tweaks to make a better Digipak and Magazine Advert. For the most part, they make sense. The bottom one: 'Why a Chinese proverb?' is difficult to answer. I knew I wanted to include a quote on my digipak and therefore went looking for one. The quote needed to relate to my album's name and the song choice and therefore i went looking for meaningful quotes that were about vengeance. The one that i found which related extremely closely to our song choice just happened to be a Chinese proverb. Other pieces of criticism such as 'Release date must be a Friday' had surprised me, however it taught me about media conventions that had to be met (In this case Albums typically being released on a Friday). These targets will be fairly simple to complete and could be met soon. I will upload improved Draft Digipak and Magazine Adverts that meet this feedback's constructive criticisms.

Magazine Advert and CD Digipak Drafts

Here is the draft for my Poster and my CD digipak. A band shot is required for my final version for the digipak, a temporary shot of Slaves has been used as this is the framing of the shot that will be similar to my final version. This shot will be taken when the whole band film for the music video, as it is the only time when all members are available together.

Draft Digipak And Magazine Advert - Rayan

Draft Digipak:
As you can see, I haven't completed the spine of the Digipak yet but I know that is something I have to complete and will work on it as soon as possible.

Draft Poster:

There are two variants of my draft magazine advert poster. One variant is with the image I have used on my Digipak cover on a black background in the same colours that I used for the Digipak cover and the second variant is with a background of a picture that I have taken and the lion head is not the same colour, instead I have inverted the colours to get that white finish on it so that it stands out on the background of the poster.

This was my initial Magazine Advert design. After gain feedback, I was asked to try to implement  photography into my design and from here I created a number of alternative designs that used photography in some aspect. I created four magazine adverts in total.

This is the design that I have decided to submit as my draft Magazine Advert.
